Newport

Newport is the project of singer, songwriter and producer Dylon Newport. Influenced by modern-alternative pop, soul and hip-hop, he has quickly found an audience for his unique brand of sun-soaked pop, earning over ten million global streams. His 2023 debut EP, Growing Pains features tracks MAYBE I and Get Back To This, the latter of which earnt a 4.5-star review from Richard Kingsmill on triple j Unearthed, and saw him as the cover star for Spotify's Fresh Finds AU & NZ. Singles ONLY U and SLOW DOWN were lo-fi summer jams, and most recent single carry was added immediately to triple j high rotation, catching the attention of global superstars SZA, David Kushner and Lloyiso. Earlier this year, Newport was also named as a triple j Unearthed Forecast Artist for 2026, reaffirming him as one of Australia’s one-to-watch artists. Newport made his debut festival performance this June at BLOOM Festival in his hometown of Perth following last year’s magnetic debut headline Australian Tour that saw him sell out multiple venues across the country. Newport has also supported the likes of Winston Surfshirtt, Dear Sunday, Mitch Santiago, Death by Denim and Tyne-James Organ.
