Biography & Metadata

In a basement on Madeira Island, Portugal, a group of friends forged a connection via music, blending the vigour of Arctic Monkeys and Red Hot Chili Peppers with the melodies of The Beatles and the emotional depth of Caetano Veloso and Tom Jobim. Their music initially gained popularity on YouTube, attracting listeners from far beyond their native island. Their first album, Senso Comum (2019), was a straightforward yet catchy record. The band’s melancholy yet catchy sound gradually made its way into Portugal’s musical landscape. A more sophisticated soundscape emerged with Logo Se Vê (2023), combining romantic pop with complex rhythms and creative textures. In 2025, “Deslocado” won Festival da Canção and represented Portugal at Eurovision. The hit has surpassed 220 million combined streams, earning 4x Platinum in Portugal, 2x Platinum in Brazil and Gold in Indonesia. That year also brought new collaborations with Van Zee and Jovem Dionisio. 2026 marks the release of Semitrópico, their third album. With Madeira as its guiding thread, the record blends their indie pop-rock identity with Portuguese and Brazilian influences, weaving island life into its sounds, arrangements and textures. Featuring lead singles “Sortudo” and “Coisas Simples”, the album also includes two international collaborations: “Canção Pra Dois”, its focus track, with Brazilian artist Julia Mestre, and a song with Spanish artist Sílvia Pérez Cruz, opening a new chapter ahead of their first European tour.
