The Godchildren fuse acoustic virtuosity with an electronic dance sensibility. Influences as diverse as Deadmau5, Charlie Parker, Massive Attack, the Go! In addition to his work with The Godchildren, Wenzl McGowen is a co-founding member of the band Moon Hooch - who have played over 1,500 shows in 20 countries and all 50 states, and have shared the stage with Cold Play, Taylor Swift, James Blake, and Tame Impala. A two-time author, Wenzl also writes about personal growth and consciousness expansion. Rob Reid plays bass, guitar, and keyboards, sings a bit, plus is the lyricist & a songwriter for The Godchildren. He's also a New York Times bestselling science fiction author, science writer and podcaster, and has spoken twice on TED's main stage. As a tech entrepreneur, he founded the company that created the Rhapsody music service. The Godchildren often feature singer Elena Shirin, a multi-instrumentalist, producer, photographer and audio-visual artist, whose solo work appears on Berlin's Motor Music label. Her jazz-based keyboards and soulful singing touch deep roots in electronic music, which date back to her childhood. Elena has been recording and producing since her early teens.
