Hariprasad Subramanian

Hariprasad Subramanian hails from a family of profound musicians. He was born on 6th May of 1999 in Thrissur district of Kerala to G.Renjini and O.K.Subramanian. He is an MBA graduate from Cochin University of Science and Technology. Hari was initiated into music at the tender age of 4 and gave his first maiden concert at the age of 8 in 2007. He is the son and disciple of Shri O.K.Subramanian who is a Nadaswara vidwan and a flautist himself. He had also undergone training under his grandfather Sangeeta Kala Acharya Shri Kizhvelur N.G. Ganesan, a Nadaswara Vidwan who was fortunate enough to get the guidance from Thiruvaduthurai T. N . Rajarathinam pillai and Karukurichi Arunachalam pillai. Hariprasad is now undergoing his advanced training under Shri Shashank Subramanyam, a Grammy nominated and Sangeeth Nataka Academy awardee himself. Hariprasad Subramanian has been performing at many prestigious venues like Madras Music Academy, Godrej Dance theatre - NCPA - Mumbai, Shanmukhananda Hall – Mumbai, Kalakshetra Foundation - Chennai, HCL Concerts, Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre- Mumbai, Thiruvayyar Thyagaraja Aradhana and many more. He has also performed at other major centres and festivals across India, UK, Dubai and Australia. Hariprasad has collaborated with senior musicians like Sangeeta Kalanidhi Lalgudi Shri GJR Krishnan and Lalgudi Smt Vijayalakshmi for their productions named “Pluti” and “Oozh”.
