soft centre

soft centre is the EDM/topline alter-ego of vocalist, songwriter and producer Jodie Nicholson. Redefining what it means to be a singer-songwriter, her signature hypnotic hooks, soaring melodies and transportive lyricism sit uncompromised on a sonic pivot, in collaboration with artists/producers in the dance, house, trance and electronic sphere. As an artist in her own right, Nicholson’s solo works have graced BBC Radio 1, Radio 2 and the 6 Music playlist, as well as the annual 'Best of BBC Introducing' playlists on both Radio 1 and 6 Music. Tracks from 2024's sophomore album 'Safe Hands' became firm favourites of Sian Eleri on BBC Radio 1's The Chillest Show and Jess Iszatt's BBC Introducing show on Radio 1. Furthermore, she's received prestigious support from PRS Foundation’s ‘Women Make Music’, Sentric Academy and Help Musicians, as well as opening the Wilderness Festival main stage for Jamie XX and Bicep. With soft centre, Nicholson has already collaborated with the likes of Dejector, Corderoy and Elaine Mai, releasing music on legendary labels such as Anjunabeats, Another Rhythm and New State. 2025 will see soft centre release more new music and collaborations with some of her favourite EDM artists.
