Johnathon Vermaelen

I have been a DJ, music producer and songwriter for over 15 years. I create music across different genres and cultures to help all kinds of people feel included and represented in music. I enjoy all kinds of music by various artists because my diverse taste in music has influenced me to be the artist that I am today. One of my favorite songs I wrote and produced is “Southern Eskimo”. It emphasizes that even if you are different from everyone else you can still make a difference in the world and be a voice for others by being yourself. I do have autism which allows me to see and hear details other people may not be able to. My most memorable moment in my career so far was being asked to perform for a local bar in my hometown. They liked my music and took a chance on me by asking me to do a concert for them.
