Alane J

Alane remembers sneaking into the basement of her babysitter's house when she was 4 years old, and watching the teenage son playing drums. “That’s where it all started for me. I knew at that moment I wanted to play the drums.” Born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado Alane has been playing drums and involved with music since she was 8 years old. Growing up she participated in school bands and took lessons for a short time; however, she dreamed of playing in a band. Her band experience started as a two-piece with her younger brother singing and playing guitar, while Alane played drums and sang backups. A few years later they started playing with other friends in various bands and participated in talent shows and the ever popular basement parties. Over the years she has played in several cover and original bands throughout Colorado, Georgia and surrounding states, most notably Lil’ Dreamer, Crazy Ms Dazey and her current band Mz. Vendetta. As a songwriter, she contributed to songwriting in all of her original projects. The song “Another Day” was recorded by Crazy Ms Dazey and the band released a video to the song as well. Alane is excited to get back to her songwriting and at the end of 2023 started recording several songs, the first of which was released December 29, 2023. Little Darling is her debut solo single. Alane’s drumming influences included Neal Peart, John Bonham, Sheila E, Steve Smith, Tommy Aldridge, Stewart Copeland, and Peter Criss.
