A well-crafted blend of deep house music and melodic techno, Thysma’s sound is one that touches the soul. In just a few years, Thysma has made impressive steps, with releases such as his EP Shiver on Nora En Pure’s label, Purified, and his latest singles Hope(less) and All Is Right, released through Toolroom’s sub-label, ZeroThree. Known for his melodic sound, he has become a regular name at AME Club in São Paulo, Brazil—one of the world's premier venues for melodic house and techno. Supported by renowned artists such as Nora En Pure, Avira, and Mees Salomé, Thysma continues to bring his music to audiences around the world. Born in Arnhem, The Netherlands, Thijs has always had a natural affinity for music. His musical journey began with playing the piano, which helped him develop a keen ear for chord progressions and melodies. This foundation expanded as he picked up drums, dabbled with guitar, and sang in a polyphonic choir—all elements that now shape his production style. Discovering the creative possibilities of his laptop allowed him to merge all the instruments he once played live and add whatever else his compositions needed. A year at the Fontys Academy of Arts taught him one key lesson: music is not something that can be created by following rules.
