Velmar

James Marvel, better known as Velmar, is an innovative artist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Velmar began his musical journey at the young age of 12, quickly finding a passion for songwriting. After realizing that basic guitar wasn’t enough, he took the brazen leap into the realm of dance music After releasing his first record on Don Diablo’s imprint “Hexagon”, he quickly built an impressive catalogue. His fearless approach to innovative ideas allows him to push the boundaries of house music, blending the sounds of many genres to build a flavor unique to him. The initial success didn’t stop there, as Velmar continued to release songs across numerous labels, the most prominent being his rework of Tove Lo’s “Talking Body” on the chart topping record label, AAO. Velmar currently prepares to keep shocking the music world, and doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon.
