ABOUT THE ARTIST Cynthia Lim 林意 (シンシア) is a piano composer renowned for her healing music and smooth harmonies. Her relaxing & soulful compositions uplift and inspire listeners with their profound emotional depth. BACKGROUND Originally from Malaysia, Cynthia began composing during the Covid-19 pandemic. After moving to Hong Kong in 2022, she created her debut piece, "Solo 敷奏 (國) / Soloed Duet 獨奏 (粵)", capturing her longing for loved ones. Since then, she has crafted 81 original and 9 improvised works. Her music has aired internationally in the UK, Ireland, and Japan’s radio stations. Her song "Let's Fly Together 一起飛 (Music Soundtrack)" (2023) honors her bond with international friends, while her ambitious 2024 project, "Embrace of Light: A Melody for the Heart" brought together 16 musicians in diverse styles. Cynthia's "Starlight in Your Mind: Think and Create (Grand Piano vs. Acoustic Guitar)" won second place for "Best Single for January 2024", while “Moonlit Lantern Reverie” earned the Chrissie and Sheppard Award for “Best Single of October 2025” from One World Music Radio in the UK. Starlight, which includes a mashup with Hins Cheung’s “London’s Blueprint 隱形遊樂場”, also brought her a Top Ten Singer Award at the BNI Final Singing Contest 2023/24. Cynthia's music is a journey from shadow to light, filled with nostalgia and deep introspection.
