Biography & Metadata

JBird is a producer, keyboardist, composer, and performer born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. J’s official release as a producer was the acclaimed 2011-12 debut of “The Gentleman Approach” by R&B crooner Jeff Bernat The album was elevated by the success of single “Call You Mine,” topping the charts in Korea and various Asian countries throughout the decade. Through his exposure in South Korea, JBird was invited to work with a singer/songwriter from Korea named DEAN, who by then was gearing up for his record debut. Two songs would materialize from those sessions and become part of Dean’s “130: TRBL” EP in “What 2 Do,” and “21,” with the latter being a production collaboration with producer ‘2xxx!’ Another song that would come from those sessions would be performed by Korean singer HEIZE for her single featuring Dean, entitled “And July,” which became JBird’s most streamed production to date. He would continue success in Korea producing for many artists including LeeHi, Crush, and Hoody. Back in the states, JBird's production on all of Jeff Bernat’s albums sealed their musical bond as artist and producer. His frequent collaborations include those with producers Jesse Barrera and Esta. Other production credits include "You Should Know" by Jeremy Passion, "Rude" by Sango, and "Ricky Millions" by Smino. In Summer 2020, JBird independently released his solo debut and music video for single I'm Kool Now.
