It means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences. These can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious and political beliefs, or other ideologies. It is the exploration of these differences, understanding each other and moving beyond simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the rich dimensions of diversity. South Bronx artist Clacc brought together musicians from different walks of life and musical backgrounds to create Panda City. Proving once again that music builds bridges, this unit reflects a multi-racial-ethnic-musical blend that can’t be categorized in any one genre. Panda City is: Clacc – vocals, and Mazz – Drums. The name is meant to reflect the make-up of the players, a guy from the South Bronx, and a NOLA-born punk drummer. It wasn't an intentional mix, but the duo blend together effortlessly with each bringing something unique to the menu. With the events of 2020 bringing the world to a standstill, the band explored new options and now Panda City is truly worldwide with all walks of life and people represented. Songs are written and performed virtually expanding influences and styles.
