Ida Gillner

Ida Gillner is a Swedish musician, artist and composer, working across artistic fields as an instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, folk musician, contemporary classical composer and performing artist. Raised in a musical family on Asperö in the southern archipelago of Gothenburg, she sat down by the piano at the age of six, composed her very first piano piece the year after, and found the saxophone at nine. Moving between piano, voice and soprano saxophone, she creates music of striking presence, emotional depth and a distinctive artistic language. Following her acclaimed solo piano debut Anna (2021), she now returns with her second album, within/without – an intimate yet atmospheric blend of neoclassical, alternative pop and electroacoustic music. The first single, Lämnandet, is released on October 22nd, and the sheet music will be available to download from Ida’s website. Further singles follow ahead of the album within/without, released on March 12th and marked by a release tour. https://idagillner.se _______________________________________ Explore more of Ida’s music, bands and projects: Shtoltse lider, Flocken, Anna Heikkinen & Längtans Kapell, Ida&Louise
