Danish pianist and composer Søren Bebe stands at the forefront of European jazz, often drawing comparisons to Scandinavian greats such as Tord Gustavsen and the late Esbjörn Svensson. Since founding his trio in 2007, Bebe has crafted a distinctive sound that seamlessly blends lyrical beauty, contemplative Nordic moods, and deep musical storytelling. Søren’s recording catalogue to date includes nine albums with the Søren Bebe Trio, the most recent of which is the critically acclaimed "Gratitude" (2026) featuring Knut Finsrud on drums and Kasper Tagel on double bass.
Described as "jazz with Nordic reflective moods and lyrical beauty," the trio’s music resonates deeply with listeners. UK Vibe’s Mike Gates praises their latest release, stating: “Gratitude is a stunningly poised, quietly beautiful record that speaks in measured tones yet resonates deeply….This is a beautiful, deeply human album, and a career high point for this wonderful trio.” (5/5 stars)
