Tristen Canete, professionally known as sleepsprod, is an American music producer and songwriter from San Diego, California. At the age of 14, sleepsprod began producing music in Logic Pro, teaching himself how to create immersive, emotionally driven instrumentals while developing a sound of his own. Inspired by producers and artists such as Pi'erre Bourne, silo, rexv2, waera, and prettifun, his production blends indie rock, alternative, pluggnb, and modern underground influences into melodic, atmospheric soundscapes. Known for his emotional melodies, layered production, and genre-blending style, sleepsprod has collaborated with artists including itsmatty_, Ketchum , Bleeding in january, Kyvi , Girled, and Mintyxe. His production often explores themes of heartbreak, nostalgia, loneliness, and self-reflection, giving artists a foundation for expressive, melodic performances. His most successful release, "I Thought I Could Fix It If I Tried," helped introduce his production to a wider audience and marked a significant milestone in his career.
