Mila Bea

Mila Bea is a singer-songwriter from Singapore. But she's not just a singer-songwriter, and it would be wrong to say she stays in one realm when she writes. She's a multimedia artist, blogger, internet enthusiast, and super fan — the definition of bedroom pop, if that bedroom belonged to a teenage girl whose walls are covered in Post-its, Adventure Time figurines, posters of her heroes David Bowie, Rilo Kiley and Tori Amos, guitar pedals, teetering piles of books, and boxes of crafting materials. By a Narnia-like magic, Mila's songwriting seems to open a portal in that bedroom. Through it is a beastly dimension she calls the Milaverse, where cryptids, ghosts, and half-imagined creatures live in her illustrations the same way feeling finds a home in her lyrics.
