PrettyBoy Chance is helmed by San Francisco-based songwriter & guitarist Mike Rosenblum. Mike invites musicians to deconstruct his original songs in order to create something completely new - displaying his vulnerability not just in the intensely soulful songs he writes, but the entire process the band uses to make music. PrettyBoy Chance’s first album, Chasing the Sun, delivers bittersweet, nostalgic yet fresh reflections on the chaos of life, love and the soul crushing realities of modern living. Produced, recorded and mixed by Travis Kasperbauer (the Go-Gos, Jackson Browne, and George Clinton, among others) and MikeL Ross at San Francisco institution Lucky Recording Company, the debut album features Paulo Baldi on drums (former member of the band CAKE), Joe Gore on guitar (recorded and/or toured with Tom Waits, PJ Harvey, and Tracy Chapman among others), and MikeL Ross on bass (Brown/Brite Boy/Mountain Hobo).
