Tom Civic

Tom Civic, the visionary force behind global hits like Scatman John’s “Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop,” crafts electrifying dance, house, and pop anthems that ignite dancefloors worldwide. Born Tony Catania in Sicily, he picked up the guitar at age 4, formed his first band “Crash Group” by 10, and performed on Italian TV. Trained at Conservatorio Vincenzo Bellini and SAE Institute, he mastered classical guitar and audio engineering before conquering London’s punk scene and building Catania Music Studios in Germany. As an award-winning producer (MTV, Echo Awards), he birthed Scatman’s multi-platinum era, R’n’G’s international smashes, and collabs with Haddaway, Londonbeat, and more. His beats powered “Let’s Get Ready to Rumble” and Lil Wayne remixes, blending funky R&B, hip-hop grooves, and euphoric EDM. Today, from studios in Germany and the USA, Tom unleashes high-energy house like “Give Me a Break” and gears up for Electric Soul.
