Arkdown

Arkdown are a five-piece metal band from the East Midlands, UK, blending modern metalcore, death metal and hardcore into a relentless mix of crushing riffs, punishing breakdowns and powerful melodic hooks. Sharing stages with bands like Fit For An Autopsy, Decapitated, Make Them Suffer, Oceans Ate Alaska, Loathe and Downswing. Following significant line-up changes, Arkdown returned in 2026 with a rebuilt line-up and a heavier, more aggressive sound. Their comeback saw them win Nottingham's Metal 2 The Masses competition, securing a slot and headlining the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Open Air 2026. Their new five-track EP, In Absence of Mercy, captures the band's uncompromising new direction, delivering raw aggression, relentless groove and crushing heaviness.
