Tomotsugu Nakamura

Residing in Tokyo, Tomotsugu Nakamura is a sound artist known for his unique craftsmanship in blending instruments and field recordings to create distinctive sounds. His sonic compositions are characterized by a seamless fusion of electronic and acoustic elements, creating immersive landscapes that captivate audiences. Nakamura's works extend across numerous releases, spanning both domestic and international labels, notably LAAPS (France). Recently, he has been actively involved in the creation of immersive soundscapes for galleries and reading cafes, delving into the intersection of music and ambient environments. In 2023-2024, Nakamura made a significant contribution to Ryuichi Sakamoto's memorial album, “Micro Ambient Music,” which won the prestigious German Music Critics’ Award in the Electronic & Experimental category. Additionally, he is scheduled to perform live at the Ryuichi Sakamoto Tribute Exhibition hosted at the NTT InterCommunication Center [ICC] in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
