Manas is a Maithili hip-hop artist from Mithilanchal, Bihar, blending regional identity with modern rap to pioneer the Maithili rap movement. His music represents the stories, culture, and spirit of Mithila while pushing the Bihari sound toward a global audience. In 2024, Manas and SAMAY released their debut studio album, MAITHILI SEASON laying the foundation for a new wave of Maithili hip-hop rooted in authenticity rather than trends. He followed it with the EP Dehati Hiphop featuring Maithili 56, a track that has become a standout within the community. After nearly two years of crafting their sound, the duo returned with their second studio album, MITHILA RAJDHANI—a project that celebrates the people, language, and culture of Mithila through high-quality music created from the villages of Bihar. With every release, Manas continues to prove that world-class hip-hop can emerge from rural India while staying true to its roots, carrying the vision of taking the Bihari sound to listeners across the world.
