Biography & Metadata
With the release of their latest project, 'Don’t Miss the Field Trip', Sunrise Academy continues to build on the nostalgic, coming-of-age sound that has connected with a growing audience online. Formed in 2020 by childhood friends Yakob Dye and Julian Sol Jordan, who met at a summer camp in Texas at 13 years old, the duo creates songs about growing up, love, and the moments that stay with us. Their story and music have resonated with listeners around the world, and the band is preparing to bring those songs to the stage with live performances in the near future. Outside the band, Yakob pursues a solo R&B project while Julian works as a filmmaker.
