Jean Bell

Jean Bell (née Jean Philippe Belanger B.) is a Panamanian contemporary classical pianist and composer based in France. He crafts minimalist, meditative piano works that are at once emotional, calm, and deeply immersive — creating a profoundly relaxing sonic experience. His music has been featured on Spotify’s “Calm & Focused” editorial playlist and shaped through collaborations with Billboard-charting cellist Kristen Miller , Flautist Shere Fraser, Romanian violinist Doina Bora, and pianist & composer Kjell Sønksen. In 2013, he received the “Most Popular Song of the Year” award from Panama’s public broadcaster (SERTV). In 2019, his first piano composition "Aramazd's Lament" was selected from over 2,000 international submissions for inclusion on the 7 Notes Challenge Compilation Album, a global initiative curated by Serj Tankian and Creative Armenia. Inspired by the works of Philip Glass, Ólafur Arnalds, Joep Beving, Hans Zimmer, and Ludovico Einaudi, Jean Bell’s music is rooted in emotional resonance and quiet intensity.
