Dane Curley

Dane Curley is an electronic music producer & rapper from the New York City area. He wows with his unique brand of sound-manipulation techniques, composing 'in-the-box' on a desktop computer, using the nerdiest editing techniques, as well as with a Moog synthesizer, which is maybe not less nerdy now that he thinks about it. Dane Curley's electronic album debut is a multi-genre psychedelic 2LP featuring Simon Posford (of Shpongle, Younger Brother, Hallucinogen), Easily Embarrassed, Ra, Xenoben, Farasat Anees, Encounters, and an incredible array of 30+ collaborators and contributors. An unbound creative, Dane makes electronica, ambient, psybient, psychill, techno, house, and a variety of both downtempo and progressive dance music forms. All these as well as prog rock, psytrance, jazz/funk fusions, and more are on his album The Cosmic Collaboration Machine, aided by his collaborators. Dane often imprints vocals & lyrics atop unexpected electronic music styles, from techno & house to dub & trance, including a planned collaboration with psybient/downtempo master Entheogenic. Dane raps, sings, and performs spoken word, having originally debuted in the indie hip hop genre, where his conscious rap album "Chain of Events" released to underground acclaim in 2010. Later, his rap + electronica collabs with Pakistani EDM makers Talal Qureshi and Farasat Anees (respectively), as well as psychill power-trio Easily Embarrassed, marked his shift from indie rap into the electronica scene.
