Velvet Kitty

Velvet Kitty is an independent music project built around original songwriting, big emotion and pop without boundaries. High-gloss pop with claws, the sound moves freely through disco, funk, dance and soulful pop, drawing inspiration from the timeless sounds of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s while embracing polished modern production. From infectious funk basslines and shimmering disco rhythms to sweeping strings, acoustic warmth and unexpected touches of bouzouki, Spanish guitar and darbuka, no two songs need to follow the same rules. Sometimes the music is made to fill a dance floor. Sometimes it’s made to hit somewhere deeper. From the neon pulse of Midnight, through the heat of Fire and the uplifting spirit of Starlight, Velvet Kitty has always been about connection and emotion — falling in love, finding confidence, dancing with friends, losing yourself in the night, or simply finding the people who feel like home. Different sounds. Different stories. One Velvet Kitty. Confident. Cinematic. Magnetic. Pop with claws. 🐈‍⬛
