Biography & Metadata

GLUNCEIN is an Washington, D.C.-based pop-rock singer-songwriter with earnest lyrics, a liberated delivery, and a vocal timbre often compared to the likes of Prince. He uses the world as his muse, frequently finding inspiration from the sounds, scents, and feelings explored during walks around the city. Exploring themes of heartache and self-revelation, GLUNCEIN takes listeners on a journey of complex emotional joy and contemplation, pairing honest truths with electrifyingly fun beats. He has found inspiration in No Doubt, Bleachers, Lady Gaga, Santigold, and Gorillaz. GLUNCEIN is a nexus of 80's rock and 90's punk, with a modern synth pop twist. Hailing from the 90's, this New York born, DMV raised singer/songwriter/producer has strong musical influences from the likes of Gwen Stefani (No Doubt), Prince, and Brandon Flowers (The Killers). In his words, "music should tell a story and transcend the confines of labels...the best songs are those that allow you to feel, regardless of genre." This limitless attitude allows him to explore music creatively, taking liberties on the instrumentation and vocals used, and creating an alternative experience for those who listen.
