Biography & Metadata

Josh Kramer is a composer and pianist with roots in Ohio and Minnesota, and currently resides in Budapest. His music has been used in productions around the world including numerous tv spots, films, advertisements and commercials for the likes of Chevy, Burberry and others. As a huge fan of artists like Olafur Arnalds, Josh was honored to have his music used in a series of major ballet performances entitled "Escaping the Weight of Darkness" at the National Theatre of Japan in Tokyo which premiered his music alongside Olafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm. Most recently, his song "Light in the Shadows" was featured by Burberry in their advertising campaign for The Kingdom collection. New projects and developments include his score for the upcoming short film "The Wagon", original music for the feature film "The Wake of Light", and the soundtrack for the acclaimed indie game "The First Tree", available on major consoles now. Switching to first person now. Much of my music is emotional, sensitive and melancholy and stems from tumultuous times in my life in which music was the ultimate catharsis and creative outlet. In a world increasingly fraught with so many issues and uncertainty, it is my hope that my music can serve not only as a temporary refuge and escape from our often chaotic society, but also be a source of inspiration and creativity.
