Asanda Seluleko Mhlanga, professionally known as uMhlanga, is a rising talent from Durban, South Africa.in a small town of Waterloo, Verulam, uMhlanga's musical journey began in 8th grade. Initially, music was a hobby, as he balanced his passion for football. However, after high school, uMhlanga dedicated himself to music, spending countless hours in the studio with friends. Despite initial reservations, uMhlanga's confidence grew with each compliment and encouragement from his peers. He eventually took the leap, releasing his debut project, "Dubane," in 2024. The project's success not only expanded his fan base but also opened doors to new opportunities. uMhlanga's momentum continued when he secured 2nd place in the prestigious CottonFest Competition later that year. With his unique sound and relentless drive, uMhlanga is poised to make a lasting impact on the music scene.
