Biography & Metadata
Jessa Sky is a Cree singer-songwriter from Treaty 6 Territory whose music blends soulful melodies, heartfelt lyricism, and Indigenous roots. Since launching her career in 2021, she has become one of Canada’s rising Indigenous voices, earning four #1 singles on the Indigenous Music Countdown and receiving a SOCAN #1 Song Award plaque for her fourth chart-topping single, Touchin’. She was also recognized as CBC Searchlight’s 2024 Honorary Indigenous Artist for her single Anxiety. In 2025, Jessa was one of only four artists across Canada selected for the CBC × SOCAN Reverie Indigenous Music Residency in Toronto, where she worked alongside acclaimed producer Junia-T to create her song Timelapse, later performing it live at Massey Hall’s Allied Music Centre. The four-week residency provided mentorship, studio collaboration, and performance opportunities for emerging Indigenous artists. Her collaboration with Mattmac, Forever, has surpassed 500,000 views, and she has performed across Canada and the United States, headlining events such as the Indigenous Tattoo & Music Festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico, while also touring with Mattmac’s All Eyes on Us Tour. Beyond music, Jessa is a mental health and addiction awareness advocate, keynote speaker, youth mentor, and host of the Sky Talks podcast.
