CLAYTON ALEX

We'll miss this part... With no bars wasted and introspective self-made beats, rapper Clayton Alex pushes the audience to read between the lines. He finds the greatest joy in creating music filled with double meanings, narrative arcs, and clever turns. While the substance comes first, the rapper/producer hybrid maintains a keen focus on melody and bounce. Put simply, “if it doesn’t make you want to move, it ain’t working”. Originally from the Cleveland area and now based in LA, Clayton’s most recent project Sunshine in My Eyes is a 4 track concept EP about finding something so beautiful that you’re willing to admire it even when it blinds or hurts you. The project does not condone or support literal sun-gazing. It’s a metaphor. Don’t actually look straight at the sun with no protection. Who do you think you are? Have some sense.
