KAVARI

KAVARI is an electronic music artist, and DJ based in Glasgow, known for her transgressive art and experimental approach to sound and performance. Raised in the Scottish Highlands, she is known for her distinct, high-intensity style that blends her influences of industrial, ambient, club, and noise music. KAVARI's practice is based in the unconventional, making music and sounds which are both dread-inducing and cathartic at once, challenging conventions in both underground and commercial music spaces. Her sound palette has been deeply influential across the experimental electronic scene, where its current state has seemed to become a reflection of the sounds she pioneered. Bringing the fringe to the mainstream and the mainstream to the fringe. KAVARI draws from the legacy of British experimental sound while pushing it into new territory. Her productions and DJ performances have earned international recognition, including praise from IDM pioneer Aphex Twin, who called her music “some of the most brilliant, most interesting kicking electronic music” in recent years. Recognised globally and central to the modern evolution of the UK and Scottish underground scenes, KAVARI continues to redefine the boundaries of British club culture, experimental music, and DJ performance.
