Diani

Born & Raised in Bradford, UK, Diani makes music about life as he lives it — not the character many think an artist is supposed to embody. Formerly known as D.R.N.E, Diani built his catalogue through tracks including “Wait (4 Me)”, “Bradford Habits” and “Yorkshire's Finest”, alongside his debut EP, “Unveil DRNE”. His music has taken him from local radio and house parties to live shows and a performance in front of more than 2,000 people at Bradford Bulls stadium. The change to Diani marks a change in mentality too. Dark-humoured, self-aware and occasionally unhinged, his writing pulls from everything around him: relationships, experiences, parties, training, Bradford, ambition, bad decisions and whatever else becomes a story worth telling. Sometimes he’s serious, sometimes he’s joking, and sometimes he’s the punchline himself. There’s no interest in pretending. Instead, Diani combines wordplay and storytelling with the freedom to say exactly what he thinks — whether that makes the song introspective, funny, uncomfortable or completely ridiculous. D.R.N.E was him trying to become an artist. Diani is just him.
