Dr Koul's latest EP, "Nafs", is an exploration of self and ego in the context of global collapse and ongoing genocide. What is the role of the introspective, "conscious' rapper in this context? Lebanese-American, Anglo-Uruguayan and Swiss, it's no wonder Dr Koul's first album was named Stranger At Home. In his next album, Prophet of Doubt, that was released alongside a book by the same name, these questions have matured into deeper explorations around existence and reality itself.
