Some stories are simply meant to happen. In 1998, Sofie Lambaerts came across a newspaper advertisement looking for a singer. Curious and without expectations, she decided to audition. It was a spontaneous decision that would quietly change the course of her life. During the audition, there was an immediate connection with Belgian producer Regi Penxten. Their shared passion for music and creativity led them to start a project together with Steve Spaas, one that would soon become known as La Luna. The name has always felt like it was meant to be. Ever since she was a child, Sofie felt a special connection with the moon and the stars. She could spend hours gazing at the night sky, fascinated by the moon's quiet beauty and the powerful way it moves the tides. When a classmate named Luna crossed her path, everything suddenly fell into place, and the name La Luna was born; a name that has always symbolised light, intuition, connection and hope. With iconic releases including When The Morning Comes, Take Me, Here I Am and Sometime Somewhere Someone, La Luna became one of Belgium's most beloved dance acts, touching audiences far beyond its borders. Today, La Luna returns with the same heart that started it all: creating genuine connection through music with gratitude, unconditional support and the invisible threads that connect us throughout life. Sofie believes music has the power to connect hearts, bring comfort, hope or simply a smile to someone's day.
