Soy Machin

Soy Machin is a music project created by trans Latina artist Valentina Moretti, in which she embraces her journey as a trans woman in both her life and in the music industry. The name “Soy Machin” is a slang for “I am a man" in Spanish, this is with the intention of bringing awareness to the matter of being bullied as a trans woman. Soy Machin celebrates the freedom of sexual expression while at the same time talking about subjects that society might see as taboo. Soy Machin is all about having fun creating music, expressing your true self without the fear of what others think of you and more importantly loving yourself as you are. Musically Soy Machin is influenced by Electroclash and Electronic Body Music combined with its own sonic signature that follows no trend and pushes new boundaries through experimentation in music creation. Soy Machin is an exploration of gender through music and story telling. Soy Machin can be a man, a woman or genderless because in the end the message it sends is that We Are All Human. Be Proud, Be Yourself, Be Human.
