Biography & Metadata
Rob Morrison is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and one sixth of the 'heavy Americana' band The Hollows. Equally at home playing mandolin, banjo, slide guitar, or creating electric guitar soundscapes, Morrison's music fuses witchy Appalachian sounds with experimental textures. He composed and performed the score for the award-winning indie feature film Sun Belt Express, along with his acoustic folk group The Booklights. Morrison composed the original score and songs for the off-broadway production of Tristan Bernays' Frankenstein, and also starred in the production. Noted for his rock tenor voice, Morrison performed lead vocals on the hair metal send-up theme from the film Moonshot. His lush, chamber pop single "Backbone" was featured in the Hulu series It Could Be Worse. Morrison is also member of the band NORTH, adding vocals and mandolin to the group's established rock sound.
