Shoonya

Shoonya is a music producer and songwriter from Mumbai, India, who makes pensive music that hits you right in the feels. Rooted in Adivasi heritage and raised in the chaos of the city, his songs are for anyone who’s still awake at 2 AM — thinking, remembering, and searching for hope. His sound is a blend of Indie Rock, Bedroom Pop, and R&B, layered with lush Hindi vocals. With over ten years of experience behind the scenes as a producer, Shoonya is a unique voice — one rooted in nostalgia and soaked in a fresh, experimental soundscape meant for moments of reflection and solitude. Outside of his solo project, Shoonya also produces under the alias Rhyo, a project that leans into electronic and dance music. As Rhyo, he’s racked up millions of streams and performed at over 100 shows across India as a DJ. Rhyo has also been featured on New Music Friday India, The Sound of Mumbai IN, and dozens of other editorials.
