Barbara Grace Romano

Barbara Grace Romano's music has been part of her inner world since childhood, drawing her early to songs of longing and unrequited love. She is Italian, Swiss, and American, was born and raised in Switzerland. Her childhood was spent learning six languages and in an orphanage before her father's death and her mother's illness, followed by years with her grandparents and later a group home. After business school, she worked as a model for major fashion houses and publications, with campaigns and editorials appearing in Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, and other magazines. Singing and acting have been lifelong passions, supported by extensive training across multiple acting techniques and improvisation, alongside years of classical and contemporary dance training. Her voice is sensual and girlie, warm, soulful, intimate, emotionally rich, and comforting. Through her song interpretations , she creates an emotional space where listeners can feel loved, strengthened, and free and her releases explore love, longing, loneliness, and hope through intimate, emotionally expressive interpretations. Her journey into recording began through a destiny-shaped encounter with producer and pianist Donni Singer, who believed in her voice and produced her music. Grateful to God for this unfolding path, Barbara Grace now steps into music with humility and purpose. Her music evokes the warmth of Karen Carpenter, the intimacy of Norah Jones, and the emotional vulnerability of Billie Eilish.
