Biography & Metadata
A collision of British grit and Aussie charm, Kelsy Karter & The Heroines are a rock ’n’ roll band built on rebellion, theatrics and friendship. Fronted by Aussie theatre kid turned rock n roll trailblazer Kelsy Karter, accompanied by Matt Peach (guitar), Sebastian Boyse (drums) & Tommy Gent (bass), an inseparable trio from England. Together, their infectious chemistry fuels a sound pulling from glam, soul, punk and theatre. Karter first emerged with the critically acclaimed Missing Person, with Rolling Stone later calling her “a beacon for female rockstars.” Her audacious approach to self-promotion earned comparisons from TIME to Ozzy Osbourne & Alice Cooper, while in 2024 she received the Spirit Award at the She Rocks Awards for her influence as a woman in rock. The four-piece has toured internationally, headlined across the US and Europe & shared stages with rock icons including Billy Idol, The Cult & Halestorm, bringing their notoriously electric and theatrical live show to clubs, theatres, festivals & arenas alike. They released the 14-song Rock Opera Love Made Me Do It and built a devoted online following of more than 800,000 through live performances, comedy, touring stories & an unapologetic celebration of individuality. The Heroines are now writing and recording their next studio album at Foo Fighters’ legendary Studio 606. Due in 2027, the record pushes the band’s collision of rock ’n’ roll, theatre & cinematic storytelling into their most ambitious world yet.
