Don Sombra

DonSombra.com Don Sombra is an independent synthpop, synthwave, Freestyle, and electro house artist from Long Island NY crafting the soundtrack to an alternate 1980s that never existed—but somehow feels instantly familiar. A self-taught DJ since the age of 13, his journey evolved from turntables to drum machines, samplers, synthesizers, and music production, shaping a signature sound that blends nostalgic electronic music with cinematic storytelling. Every song begins with a real moment with writings as far back as 2002. Through poetic imagery, layered metaphors, and emotional honesty, Don Sombra explores love, heartbreak, grief, redemption, family, hope, and the moments that redefine who we become. Every release is another chapter in a continuously evolving story. The story is far from over. Upcoming releases—including Waiting Here Forever, Perfect Mistake, Past Midnight, Pouring Out My Heart, Every Moment in Time, December Without You etc, continue expanding the Don Sombra universe. Some stories will break your heart. Others may help put it back together.
