Biography & Metadata

Arkose is the dynamic Neo Acid Jazz duo of Noah Sills & Tad Adams from Atlanta, Georgia. The multi-instrumentalists met in high school band back in 2012. They had a mutual love for Hip-hop, Jazz, R&B & Classic Rock. The definition of Arkose is a sedimentary rock (A rock made up of rocks). That’s how they approach their music, hence their “Diamond Cut” sound. The duo has worked with some great artists such as: Musiq Soulchild, 6LACK, Childish Major, Akeem Ali, SWAVAY, Chase Shakur , Jai'Len Josey, Lil Gnar, Eddie 9V, KELS & Kennedy Ryon. The DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH BEAT TAPES, showcases the latest sounds from the duo. Elements of Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, House & Rock are displayed all over this beat tape. Arkose’s latest release is the Added Pressure EP that features Atlanta artists over the beats from Diamond in the Rough Beat Tape. Arkose just released their debut album, ECLIPTIC, which took 4.5 years to make and release. This album showcases the complexities of a relationship through the figurative or metaphorical experience of the movement of the sun. The album is simply an eclectic blend of tones, textures and melodies that displays the early versatility from the duo so far.
