Music producer and musician from Sapporo, Japan. In 2008, he moved to Jamaica and founded GACHAPAN RECORDS. He has worked with Mavado, Konshens, Jesse Royal in Jamaica, as well as Mighty Crown, Pushim, Chehon in Japan, producing tracks and providing instrumentals for various artists. After disbanding GACHAPAN in 2015, he established MEDZ MUSIC. The following year, Alkaline’s hit “12pm” became a global dancehall anthem. Since 2018, he has collaborated with Walshy Fire (Major Lazer), Vybz Kartel, Masika, Popcaan, Squash, Bayka, Kohh, Chouji and many others, participating in a wide range of international projects. In recent years, he has also focused on nurturing Japanese artists such as ZendaMan, Minato, Chehon, while actively producing Lo-fi, Chill, and Instrumental Beats alongside dancehall and reggae. With Japan × Jamaica as his core vision, he continues to deliver a unique cross-cultural sound to the world. 札幌出身の音楽プロデューサー／ミュージシャン。 2008年に単身ジャマイカへ渡り、GACHAPAN RECORDS を結成。 ジャマイカでは Mavado, Konshens, Jesse Royal 等、 日本国内では Mighty Crown, Pushim, Chehon らと共に活動し、 楽曲プロデュースやトラック提供を手掛ける。 2015年、GACHAPAN 解散後に MEDZ MUSIC を設立。 翌年リリースされた Alkaline「12pm」 が世界的にヒット。 2018年以降は Walshy Fire (Major Lazer), Vybz Kartel, Masika, Popcaan, Squash, Bayka, Kohh, Chouji など、 幅広いアーティストとの国際的プロジェクトに参加。 近年は日本人アーティストの育成や共同制作にも注力し、 ZendaMan, 湊, Chehon らとの作品や、 Lo-fi, Chill, Instrumental Beats などジャンルを越えたプロデュースも積極的に展開。 「ジャマイカ × 日本」を軸に、 独自のクロスカルチャー・サウンドを世界へ届け続けている。
