Biography & Metadata
Rock is not dead. That single idea, fueled by a passion for creating, set Remember October into motion. The history between its members is long running and coincidentally intertwined. In the early years, Cole Childers (lead vocals) and Kevin Palos (bass guitar) rocked stages together in the Virginia Beach, Virginia based band Chasing Corona. At their peak, they performed with major artists Creed, Motley Crue, Joan Jett, and others. Meanwhile, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Harry Godwin (drums) and Bryce Bordone (guitar) were crafting a more progressive metal sound in Kaustic. On occasion, the two acts would cross paths and trade shows- most notably the annual East Coast Surf Competition on the Virginia Beach oceanfront stage. The bands eventually dissolved and each member went their separate way. Years later, a phone call, a voice memo, a dirty riff, and a love for music dawned a new era in their musical journeys. Over the years, they all made constant noise at Soul Haven Studios and, as most musicians with a shiny new song do, blasted them until someone who pays for the gear tells them to turn it down. Or, if the resident engineer is a metal head with an insatiable love for everything that is riff, he joins the band. Enter John Terrell (guitar). Remember October is a real band, with real members, who write their music, press record, play their parts, scream expletives when they mess up, and get excited when they perform. Thank you for listening.
