Nasio Domoni

It started the same way most Fijian boy bands in Fiji started— around a grog bowl. It started with the brothers singing sigidrigi late into the night trying to master their art. That was 2005. Nobody was thinking about awards or airplay yet, just doing covers of their favorite numbers on air. By 2013, the brothers decided it was time to make it official, and Nasio Domoni cut their first album. What came out was a sound heavily influenced by iTaukei/ Island reggae but never content to sit still — vude rhythms, a touch of country beats, and a Solomon Islands feel thanks to their partnership with Young Davie Records. This fusion of music genres made the band unique for other boy bands in Fiji. The recognition followed the songs, not the other way around. Here are their achievements; - 2016 — Best iTaukei Song: "Na Veikilai Lekaleka Mosimosi" -2017 — Best iTaukei Song and Best Composition (the FPRAMAs' premier award): "Senikakala" by Nasio Domoni -2018 — Most Popular Song: "Vaka me Veilaroi" 2019 — Artist of the Year and Most Popular Song: "Na Mavoa" by Nasio Domoni Nearly two decades on, Nasio Domoni is still writing the same way they started — soothing island reggae!!
