Biography & Metadata

Dreadzone have successfully navigated an ever-changing musical landscape and have been a creative force for over 30 years. Core members Greg Dread and original bassmaster Leo Williams with legendary reggae vocalist Earl 16 are joined by MC Spee, Bazil on technology and Blake Robert (Greg’s son) on guitar in the current 2025 Dreadzone live line-up. The band released latest album Nine in October last year. It’s the ninth official studio album from Dreadzone and a reflection of the last 5 years and a culmination of growing and re-inventing the Dread sound. Dreadzone have been releasing albums and progressively bettering, refining and perfecting their own unique and inimitable take on dub since their inception in 1993. They opened the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in 1994 bringing their unique blend of electro, dub and reggae to a wider audience going on to chart several singles including their Top 20 hit ‘Little Britain’.
