Middle Child

Middle Child is the electronic music project of Minnesota artist and producer Dan Larson. Blending emotional melodic bass, future bass, cinematic atmosphere and guitar, Middle Child creates what Dan calls “heartfelt music,” songs meant to be felt as much as heard. Dan launched Middle Child in 2014 after years of playing guitar in bands, producing hip-hop and electronic music, rapping, and DJing locally. Music became more than a creative outlet. It became therapy and a way to give hope to people carrying depression, anxiety, addiction, grief, isolation & struggles they may not know how to explain. Releases including “Awaken,” “Miracle,” “Bliss,” and “mercy - Radio Edit” introduced his sound worldwide. His music received support from Your EDM, EDM Sauce, ThisSongSlaps, thatDROP, and EDMJoy. “YOU” was released through Chroma Records/SONY, EDM Sauce named Middle Child an Artist to Watch, and he later shared the stage with Marshmello, NGHTMRE, ARMNHMR, Ghastly, & Mersiv at SNOWTA. To date, Middle Child’s music has been streamed over 100 million times across platforms. After stepping away from music, Dan returned in one of the hardest seasons of his life, shaped by loss, depression & leukemia diagnosis. That chapter gave Middle Child a renewed purpose: creating honest, wounded, hopeful music for people trying to hold themselves together. Middle Child makes music for people carrying more than they show, hoping every song helps someone feel seen, understood & a little less alone.
