Tender Claws

Angular alt rock to groove to 🥀 The stage moniker of Belfast-born, now North West England-based Tess Corr, Tender Claws draws inspiration from gothic aesthetics, introspective storytelling, and the darker facets of both nature and the human experience. Drawing on Queens of the Stone Age, PJ Harvey, Nine Inch Nails and Chelsea Wolfe listeners will find hints of industrial, indie, shoegaze and goth influences throughout. Tender Claws crafts a sound that is as gritty and punchy as it is ethereal, alluring, and distinctly otherworldly. From the atmospheric, infectious grunge-pop of ‘Tear Him To Pieces’, to the driving grit of ‘Twinge’, and the immersive theatricality of ‘Ersatz Life’, her debut 5-track EP showcases the width and potential of Tender Claws' writing. She has gained recognition from prominent media outlets, including DORK, Rough Trade, Louder Than War, Loud Women, Hot Press, RTE, The Unsigned Guide and BBC Introducing Merseyside. “Tender Claws comes of age with Tear Him To Pieces – an EP brimming with beautifully executed musical and lyrical concepts, employing a dazzling variety of textures and styles to keep the listener transfixed throughout.” - LOUDER THAN WAR Following gigs supporting levitation room, Bonnie Trash, Dog Race and Rosegarden Funeral Party, Tender Claws will next be performing: - 06/11/26: supporting VENUS GRRRLS in Liverpool - 22-23/05/27: Afterlight festival in Huddersfield
