Rob Dobson

Rob Dobson is a Los Angeles-based musician, composer, and mastering engineer whose modern work lives at the intersection of space music, Berlin school electronics, and deep ambient sound. For over a decade he has composed immersive sonic landscapes for Hemi-Sync, one of the most storied names in consciousness and meditative music — a practice that shaped his instinct for long-form immersion, textural patience, and the profound effect of sound on the inner life. His debut ambient album, Galilean Moons, released on Flying Man Records in 2025, brought that sensibility into full personal expression: four extended meditations on the moons of Jupiter, drawing on the cosmic grandeur of Jonn Serrie, the evolving synthesizer landscapes of Steve Roach, and the contemporary Berlin school of Martin Stürtzer.
