Vantalis

From my early years playing acoustic guitar and writing songs, then my Fender Telecaster and my 15 minutes of fame with my rock band, my first record deal, radio interviews, the stadium, traveling the world in a van with my college friends (yes, like the Scooby-Doo gang), moving to a new country on a new continent with a new language, loves and heartbreaks, friends who are no longer here, adventures and trips, working hard, falling down and getting back up again—it's always been me. I've listened to so much music, from different cultures and countries, and yet there's always more to discover. My music is a reflection of my soul and my emotions, of everything I've experienced and also of my hopes. I hope that when you listen to it, you can make it your own. I also like to share what inspired my songs (I'd love to tell you more stories, but space is limited): @Ancient Forest was inspired by the solemnity and magnificence of an old growth forest and the feeling I experienced walking along a path in Nepal, alone, surrounded by vegetation and the sounds of nature. I close my eyes and I still remember it... and although I had to keep walking, ignoring the heat, the fatigue, and the leeches that infested the path, the presence of nature made the effort worthwhile.
