Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks lead the 12-piece Tedeschi Trucks Band with a rare mix of musicianship, trust, and full-band chemistry. That collective approach sits at the center of Future Soul, the band’s sixth studio album and their most focused statement to date. Recorded in early summer 2024 at the Tedeschi Trucks family farm in Georgia, Future Soul was written by a core group within the band, joined by newest members Gabe Dixon and Isaac Eady. Producer Mike Elizondo brought an outside perspective while honoring the group’s organic process. “This is a band of high-level musicianship,” says Trucks. “Mike could speak everyone’s language.” The album’s 11 songs include “I Got You,” “Who Am I,” and the title track “Future Soul,” balancing groove, restraint, and emotional weight. With 12 voices involved, the band keeps songwriting intentional but collaborative. “We choose a core group to bring songs in,” says Tedeschi, “but everything grows together.” Future Soul builds on a career defined by consistency and live power. Tedeschi Trucks Band has earned Grammy recognition, sold out Madison Square Garden, and staged multi-night runs at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. In 2026, the band supports Future Soul with a U.S. headlining tour and festival appearances including Bonnaroo and New Orleans Jazz Fest.
